Darlington Borough Council are seeking to recruit a Parking Enforcement Officer to provide on-street and civil enforcement for car parking and nuisance parking. This post is 18.5hrs per week and the specified working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. *This post requires a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check*. The successful candidate would patrol and enforce parking areas in accordance with enforcement procedures and serve notices for contraventions of parking regulations. There would also be a requirement to report damage to car parking equipment, service and maintain car park machines and contribute to the seasonal upkeep of car parks. The successful candidate will need a City and Guilds 1889/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Car Parking Enforcement or alternatively a commitment to obtain the qualification within a reasonable timeframe of commencing in the post. A full driving licence is required to drive Council vehicles and approximately one years' experience of dealing with the public.
